This glove is light-weight, stretchy, and very breathable. I got it for cross-country skiing and it works great for me. I tend to run hot and I find these gloves to breathe quite well. I haven't used them in temps below 25 degrees. The insulation seems quite thin and I'm not sure they'd be warm enough for very cold days. One thing to note is that they seem to run small. Using the provided sizing chart, I went with the medium. The fingers were too short so I exchanged them for the large, which fit, but were only slightly larger.

The glove has very different feel because of the satin-like fabric. You never feel like you have good grip on things because of the slippery feel of the fabric. Also, these glove have short fingers that limit mobility of the hands while trying to certain tasks while wearing them.

I live in ND/MN, and was hoping for something lava-like to keep my hands warm. Granted, it wasn't fair that the first time I wore them, it was around -20. Also, I'm not a skier or a runner, I've only tried them in everyday situations. However, I've had them for a couple of weeks now and I have several gripes. First, the pros: Comfortable (soft), attractive, lightweight, easy on/off, good finger dexterity, breathable But the cons: -I have wide, stubby hands; the large fits fine in width but the fingers are still short by 1/4 inch or so. -the nicest weather I've tried them was about 20 degrees; they only delayed cold hands by 10 min or so. -I haven't found them to do much about blocking the wind -the lining isn't connected to the palm, so when I'm holding the steering wheel or shifting, the glove (which has a nice palm material for gripping) grips and my hand slides around inside the glove in a rather disconcerting manner. -keep the outer shell away from the "hook" part of velcro; it grabs right on and makes an ugly patch in a moment All in all, I could see this as a good 30-50 degree glove, or cooler if you're exerting yourself, but I don't feel like they live up to their name in the actual cold.

Tried these on at Sugarloaf Nordic Center 3 yrs ago but didn't have the $. Looked all over my area for them and couldn't find them. They are everything that I thought they would be. I have Raynaud's circulation problems. They wick great, feel dry after two hours of XC skiing. Very few others that commented used them for their designed purpose - XC SKIING - it's in the name of the glove! They are not described as being waterproof, so, I didn't expect them to be waterproof. The inside is so soft and cushy, to me they feel like my hands have been wrapped in lava - extremely comfortable!

Tried these on 3 years ago but didn't have the $. Kicked myself for not getting them because I couldn't find them anywhere. Super comfy, and when I wore them the first time I came back after a 2 hour XC ski and my hands felt virtually bone dry. Great wicking. XC is in the name, so buy them for aerobic activities! I just ordered two more pairs for me and three more for friends.
