They are. I had initially bought these in Womens size L, and they were uncomfortably small. I am not a big person - 5'4, 120# - but I returned the Womens gloves, and ordered Mens size M. They are not extra roomy, but these fit ok now. Very warm, not too bulky for down, windproof. Haven't soaked them through to know how they handle water.

Reviewed by bay area skier from Los Altos, Ca on Monday, December 17, 2012Great on dry, cold days. It blocks wind pretty good. On warmer snowy days, the leather will absorb moisture, but the insulation didn't feel affected by it.
