My son used these skiing (just once so I can't comment on long term durability) and they kept his hands warm and dry.

  • Gordini New Slide Gloves - Insulated (For Women)
By PickyVerified PurchaserVerified Reviewer from PDX on 03/11/2012
    Cons:
    Not Warm, Poor Fit
    Gear Usage:
    Non-summer bike commute
    Sizing:
    Feels too large
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Too large in all dimensions, and I find nothing that seems like an insulating layer. Leather on the palm is definitely not lined, fabric back is some combination of materials. I like the knit cuffs - too much velcro on bike gloves in general; these grab my wrists as they should and hook nothing else. I wish these fit better. I went back to look at the product description to see if it was really unisex sizing, where I would be an XS. Nope, specifically women's, and S was the smallest. Maybe I'm supposed to be wearing liners inside them.

The glove liner is sewn in and permanently attached. The glove is very warm, making my hands sweat. The damp liner cannot be removed to dry out or wash. I would not buy these gloves again.

The advertising is just that. I thought that these would be the ants pants but they are not. On cool days they work but get a freezing cold day and they are as useless as normal gloves, even with under gloves. Not suitable on warm days as your hands sweat and the gloves becomes wet. They need gortex so that they can breath All in all they are disappointing. They work on some days but are useless on a warm day and on a cold day.

I just went back to the item description to see if I made a foolish mistake and ordered unisex gloves for my small hands. Nope. Sz small in this "women's" design leaves me with a lot of air at my fingertips. There's a poorly formed, lumpy and uncomfortable seam between two fingers, and I hoped to send them back on that basis, and have them replaced by sz. XS. No such product. Today's weather was unusually benign - over 40 and barely drizzly - so not much challenge on either temperature or water resistance. I don't think they're going to be very warm, as I could feel air coming through the fabric backs. The leather feels nice, I like the knit cuffs rather than having to deal with Velcro (I'm using these as bike gloves, and everything has Velcro and sticks to everything else), but I'm not sure I'm going to keep them.

I was impressd with the quality and roomy fit. The gloves are true to size yet the fingers are spacious. Sometimes gloves have tight fingers. Very good quality

The gloves would have been a great purchase except that the colored rubbed off. My hands are still black five days after wearing them and I've done some serious scrubbing. The color also rubbed off on anything(my clothes & white ski jacket included) I touched leaving a stain behind.

I bought these for shoveling snow and doing other outdoor activities in the winter time. My hands stay dry. These are very warm. It is a little difficult to put them on or take them off though. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase.
