Very nice cap, throw it on and go for a drive.

A fun hat for spring or fall days. Because it leaves ears exposed, it won't work on really cold days, but this is a fun hat that generates comments from other people - usually positive. The bill is about the same size as a one from a baseball cap, so there is some sun protection there. I was also thankful for the sizing choices because the one-size-fits-all tag seldom works for me.
    • Best Uses: Casual, Outside work
    • Pros: Sizing choices, Style

Think of it as a well-made cotton newsie, with a CoolMax net liner, that is perfect for the ubermenchen (goat-like) head. Calling this sun protection, for die Volk, is disingenuous, the bill is stiched to the visor. So, it's basically for looks. Feels great, cool, drapes well. looks better the older it gets. CoolMax is a product of Koch Industries.
    • Best Uses: Affecting hipness, Getting ah er, Roll Playing
    • Cons: CoolMax only in lining, Dubious sun protection, Sewn-down bill
    • Pros: Accepts DWR, Cool, Drapes well, Fits Kraut heads, Visor adequate, Wicks OK

Great hat anytime of year. Light weight fabric but still holds form. I have a 7 3/4 head and the XL fits nicely.
    • Pros: XL is really an XL
