Gottmann Nordic Hat (For Men and Women)

Perfect material and workmanship for practival elegance.

As others noted, this hat runs large by a half, to full size (I bought the small and it's still a bit large for the recipient). That said, it's an excellent design. Soft inside against a bald head. And the ear flaps keep the wind out. I bought this hat and several pairs of YakTracks (sp) from Sierra for my father's winter comfort and safety.

I wore this hat while traveling and it kept my head warm and dry. My traveling companions assured me that I did not look Fuddy, as the top of the hat is a more attractive round shape and a solid color. It fit my head perfectly and I didn't have to tug it down or hold my hand on it to keep it on my head in the cold medium wind.

use to walk dogs in windy field,would fit better if I'd ordered one size lower even though I did measure,outside brushed suede inside warm non itchy,just right for a sensitive person

Just got it -- happy so far. Even my wife likes it!

Gottmann --or at least their products featured on STP--have been running large this winter. This hat was only slightly larger than the indicated Large size, and I am 7 3/8--the top of the Large range. A previous attempt with another ball cap model was huge. In both instances though, Gottmann quality was evident; it's a nice, typically German product that just seems to be running large this year. Also, this one was a bit Elmer Fudd-like in its low-crown design.
