The fit is slightly large, but that is o.k. with me. I have trouble finding hats in an adequately large size, as the sizing varies widely, but the XL size works well for me.

He is in and out of his office in the winter and needs a waterproof hat for fall and winter months in upstate NY. He loves it! Looks great with an overcoat or jacket. The ear flaps are perfect for colder days. Fit was perfect to size.

Normally I take a 7 3/8, which was at the top end of the cap for a large. It fits perfectly and even with the ear flaps up or down.||The weather right now where I'm at is about 36F/2C and has a bit of a bite in the damp air. The hat does a great job of keeping your head toasty and ears warm with the flaps do
