We were at 4200m above sea level; the winds were unforgiving. We huddled for warmth in a well-built hut. Thinking that this stuff would give us some needed heat to our fingers and palms, we eagerly opened the packets and rubbed the sachets between our palms. Sadly, nothing happened - no heat, and absolutely nothing at all. We were hugely disappointed.
