Fits the need

We use these hand warmers all winter for skiing - put them in glove pockets. They need to be removed from the packaging 10 - 15 minutes ahead to be exposed to air to warm up The one drawback is when they are in the glove pockets they do not get air and so lose heat. When we take a break I remove them from the pockets and shake them and let them get air to warm up more again. They do keep my fingers toasty and I couldn't go in the cold without them!
