used in nordic and alpine ski boots, snow shoe boots, winter hiking boots, heck, even on mt washington during a sleet storm in august. these little guys are great. They are especially handy when your 8 yr old daughter's toes are cold, and you save the day by digging them out of your pack. "Yay Dad" Award winner.

These toe warmers are just the thing for sitting outside in a football stadium in late November. They are easy to use. They stay in place. You cannot feel them when you walk. You do not feel a sensation of heat, but your feet stay warm. They can be reused by sealing them in a plastic bag. I'll keep these with me when I travel in Michigan winters.
I ordered in January 2012, and these expire in 2014.

I've been ordering these for the last five years and there are always carryovers from one year into the next. I've never opened a pack that did not warm up, but I do notice that they may not last the 6 to 8 hours. Warmers that I've carried around in my bag become useless and I put that off to possible punctures and whatever happens in our bags on a daily basis.
