I have the same issue as Old Climber, the cloth over the zipper just won't lay right, even after ironing. Something is designed improperly. The actual zipper sticks out and is exposed when you wear these.

This is more of a run-of-the-mill twill short, as opposed to the sturdier Gramicci fabrics, but still a great deal at STP. Cut a bit longer, which is great for a 6'2" guy who doesn't want to wear gangsta oversize shorts or ridiculous golf plaid patterns.

Another fantastic pair of shorts from Gramicci. Perfect weight fabric - sturdy but just light enough. Fit is great. ONly complaint as other likely noted - built-in belt is really long, but that;s also the beauty of elastic waist shorts - flexibility! One can simply cut the belt, but then you lose the plastic tip - no biggie. A very small "con" for pants with so much else going for them. Anticipating some weight loss, I hope to buy more in a size smaller so I don't have to ditch these - that;s how much I love 'em!
