    The cotton is a very thin weave. So, the pants will be nice in the summer. The pants have a built in belt. Where the belt comes out of the pants in front is a high stress area. The seam ripped on my pair within hours. One has to be especially careful to loosen the belt all the way before trying to pull the pants down. As the material is so weak a small rip can turn into a big one fast. I sewed the seam properly and do not expect to have any more trouble. The pants are comfortable and cheap, good for summer outdoor activity.

    When I ordered these, I thought that these pants were going to be a heavier stock of cotton (I probably did not read the description carefully enough). The pants are very thin and light weight. I wanted to wear the pants this fall, which I'll do on warmer days (I am wearing them today!), but otherwise, I am planning on wearing them all of the time next summer. They are obviously quick dry! We are planning a month long trip to central or south america next summer, and they will be perfect for this...
