Could be worn alone, but I usually wear it over another t-shirt for warmth in winter, or the perfect take-the-evening-chill-off in summer. This shirt did come smelling REALLY strongly of some kind of perfume or scent infused into the fabric... took 3 or 4 washes PLUS a night next to a campfire to defuse the smell. Not sure what to say about this. Its reach exceeds its grasp, I guess. We've all seen these super-hip/chic skatewear pullovers...and made of hemp, that's great! Why these folks didn't go ahead and use a fabric with a nice hefty hand and dye it in the weft or whatever is completely beyond me, but these raggedy little lightweight scrawny tubes of painted dishcloth are not worth my time of day and probably not yours either. I was very sad because I really wanted a nice pullover. But dad, this ain't it.
