“"Decorative embroidery" in shoulder seam was actually just the use of a serger, with the seam pulled open to show the thread. Because of the curve on the knit fabric, the seam varied in width, looking crooked.
"Deconstructed look" is a strip of cut-off knit left to roll; at neckline, end of sleeve and bottom. Rolled edges might have worked, but the material didn't roll where it was joined, so the roll just stopped there and buckled up. External tag on side was also sewn on with the cut-off rolled process so it looked more like a scrap of fabric had gotten caught in the edge.
Overall look may be appealing to young, but to an older careful seamstress it just looked badly sewn.”
