The waist is elastic, and I could barely get it over my hips. It doesn't have a zipper, so every time you change or use the bathroom it's a tug of war. The waist fits ok in the waist. After I had worn them a few hours, they stretched out and were very baggy, which I don't think looks very good. The fabric is comfortable, I'd say midweight cotton. But the design isn't working for me.

Considering my body type and the stye of these pants- they look pretty good. I haven't washed them yet, but bought the 33 length, believing they will shrink in length.

They are good casual or gardening pants. I hope they aren't ever changed as so many products are changed for the worse.
