I am getting older and no longer like to wear jeans as an everyday pair of pants, plus they dont fit as well as they use to. The expandable waist on these pants make them very comfortable if your waist chnges size when you sit (stomach bulge). I wear a 42 waist and 36 inseam and these pants fit better and are far more comfortable than any I have ever owned. They are a much more dress up look than jeans with all the benefits of jeans--sturdy material, go anywhere, easy care. In today's casual society you can wear them to many occasions where jeans would not be dressy enough but these are. They not only replace jeans but replace almost any casual pants. No belt required which is a big bonus if your waist is always chainging sizes when you sit down. I wear the 2XL. I am 6'6" and weigh 230 lbs. Jeans were fine when I was younger, but after 65 gravity takes over. Since shirts are often worn over the pants in every case but dressy occasions you don't have to worry about your no belt look. Only you will know you have elastic, expandable pants on. If you are younger and like to tuck your shirt in, there is a token belt with a plastic buckle which is pretty trendy for younger people but not real dressy for us seniors, who mostly wear shirts untucked anyway. Finaly, they are great for outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, bicycling, etc. since the fabric is very sturdy, much like a pair of jeans.
