The first pair (L) were quite roomy so this time I bought (M) and they are much neater. I wear 14-16 in Aus. These shorts are particularly suited to any outdoor activities, especially if you are likely to get wet! They dry very quickly, so are also great for travel.

I normally wear an 8/10 so I ordered the medium and it was way too big all over, not just in the waist (which is adjustable). I guess that's what they mean by "relaxed fit". I may try a small because they did seem like they'd be quite comfortable, just not sure now that I've seen that fully elasticized waist band up close. Seems like they'd be just as comfortable with maybe just a little less obvious elastic at each side.
