    Great, and cute, for knocking around the house and shopping, errands (I don't hike) in warm/hot weather. Thick enough for wearability and modesty, but not too heavy. Good shortish length. I ordered two, if more colors were available I'd order those!

    I do a lot of climbing, that involves a lot a boulders and rocks. I have worn Gramicci shorts forever and each pair is comfortable and has lasted a very long time, through a lot of sliding on my backside. I wasn't sure whether to discard my last pair - or frame them.

    The last time I bought Gramicci shorts was in 1989. They finally wore out after constant wear and many washings so I bought some more in 2011. Quality is still the same. They are very comfortable, lots of room for movement which makes them great for gardening, hiking etc. Plus they are comfortable when you sit down! No binding at waist. I couldn't live without these shorts in the summer!

    The cotton form of this short is a bit longer and fits me much better. Sadly the nylon form was baggy and looked like I was a sack of potatoes. THe nylon light colors are flimsy and a bit transparent in a way, darker colors better. THe cotton are fine in all colors.
