Mine seem like factory seconds (although not advertised as such) - after one wash the Gramicci tag on the back has begun to fray, and threads around the belt loops are fraying as well. Still, overall good simple pants for the price.

They should be labeled women's not men's. They are very comfortable. I wear them primarily for hiking. I like the fit because they cinch at the waste and they stay up as opposed to most women's pants which are mid rise or at the hip and I keep having to pull them up especially when wearing a pack. The second pair I bought were the black ones and I was disappointed with the shiny fabric but kept them anyway because I liked the fit so much.

I do have to say I think the "second generation" isn't a nice as the first. They changed the cut slightly - less taper on the legs - and the fabric is more silky feeling now. I preferred the crunchier feeling nylon personally. Some people may like the new fabric better.
I do love these things for warm weather wear - they are the best. -

If not in shorts, they became my go-to's. My first pair is still going strong. These rocket dry's are a little baggier and do not have the tapered bottom leg like the others. Still have full range of motion. They are super light and dry well.

In all other brands I'm a Medium with pants like these ... I needed Large.

NYC has brutally hot humid summers, and cold wet winters, so wearing the right clothing is everything. After years of doing it these are the only pants I wear.

Runs a bit small in the waist so if you are between sizes, go up. This pant does not have a fly. Great for warm weather hiking/camping.
