They are a nice weight, not too heavy but sturdy. I especially like the zippered fly (which some styles do not have). Thought these are very comfortable, I would probably not use them for hiking and climbing due to the cotton content (slow to dry), but I love these pants. The fit is on the "relaxed" side and I wish they were a little trimmer, but this is not a deal-breaker.

The gusseted crotch is much more comfortable sitting. The legs are skinnier than I like, but the gusseted crotch styles make up for the slim legs. Really disappointed the cloth tore at the web belt buckle.
