This is my 8th pair of Gramicci "G" style pants. I literally wore out my first two pairs, the lighter weight twill versions purchased 14 years ago, from wearing them almost every day in my job as a construction manager. The design, with the diamond shaped crotch insert, makes them perfect for climb... Read More

They fit me well. I am long waisted and these pants fit me well and I don't ever have to worry about body parts showing. I like the color and the durable fabric.

These are comfy and good for outdoor hiking where you need something sturdy that won't get caught on every twig and leaf. Good geology pants. A bit baggy, and more squarish than is great for a tall thin person. Very well made.

After reading the comments, I ordered a medium instead of my usual large. I have a 28 inch inseam and ordered the 29. Didn't have to shorten because this pant holds the rolled up leg. Not so crazy about the pink color but that was my fault for not ordering while a grey was still available. The belt and buckle are a nuisance but this problem didn't bother me when considering these well made pants.

I tried the Gramicci original pants and they were cut fuller in the front and legs, they also have a straight leg. I sent them back . The Vintage G are slightly more tapered ,not as full ,with a tapered ,yet roomy leg .The fabric is very durable without being too heavy .Very comfortable for trekking around, gardening ,sitting by outdoor fires. I much prefer the Vintage version of these pants as I can roll the bottom and the cuff stays put.

    • Answer Yes, they are different from each other. The coal is more of a charcoal color.

    • Answer I wear a medium and usually wear Size 10 (due to height and a preference for a relaxed fit)

    • Answer I think of myself as a size 8 and the small fits me just fine. The elastic waist makes it a more flexible size.

    • Answer yes, they are big enough to hold necessities and they lay flat (unless the size is too small which often makes pockets "bulge")

  • Question “What is the difference between the "original" and the "vintage" gramicci womens pants?”

Asked on 1/27/2013 12:00:00 AM by Love to play from Unknown
    • Answer The Original is a straight leg pant and the Vintage is a tapered leg pant.
Answered on 1/29/2013 12:00:00 AM by Prod Spec Kevin from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I own some of both styles. Some differences I've noticed: The Vintage have tapered legs, no back pocket, a three part deeper and longer gusset in the crotch which seems to result in more fabric around the hips. The gusset on the Vintage size medium runs about 5" wide and 15" long. The Original have straight legs, one back pocket, and a one piece gusset in the crotch. The gusset on the Original size medium is about 3.5" wide and 9.5" long.
