These pants are OK for hiking in the rain, but for everyday use, they are baggy and unflattering, in my opinion. Fabric seems super durable though.

Comfort, durability & style all in one pant. You can dress them up or wear them with a T shirt. Once you try them you'll become a Gramicci fan.

I have always wanted to try a pair of Gramicci's pants. After reading the review, I went with a small instead of my usual medium, as most said they ran big. I was excited because they come in different inseams and petites are rare on STP. I can look at the pants and feel the hips and thighs would fit, but I can't get the waist over my upper thighs (I have a muscular and slightly overweight build). I'm too chicken to try the mediums. I like them but not enough for the gamble. These are going back. The fabric and all is great, they would be a great casual, outdoor pant if not for the fit.

i cannot rate these because i did not keep the pants. i followed the measuring guidelines very carefully and ordered extra large based on that. i was skeptical but ordered accordingly. the pants were much too large. i gave them to a friend rather than have the hassle of sending them back. she liked them very much. she is larger than i am and the fit was good for her.

The legs were big, the waist was really small and really high. I am 5' 5 and 1/2 and weigh 120. I ordered an extra small. The material of the pants are really awesome, durable. I wish this company made the same pant with a wider and lower waist.

Love Gramicci - and especially the gusset crotch. Had 4 days of plane flights and these pants made life much better.

I ordered four pair of Gramiccis in the same order - two pair of Original shorts, and two pair of these Vintage G pants, all in size small. Since I already own small Gramiccis, it made sense. The shorts fit. The "moonless night" pants fit. But the black pants won't go past my knees. Now, if I'd ordered them years apart, or if I didn't already own small Gramiccis, or if the box hadn't contained four items from the same company only to have one fit a full size smaller than it's brethren, I might not be as cranky. It probably also would have helped if I hadn't discovered the sizing flaw while on a business trip where I desperately needed pants. I LOVE my Gramiccis, don't get me wrong. But I just got hit with a $5.95 return shipping fee for pants that are obviously defective in size. Well, my knickers are a tiny bit twisted now. Be aware - although some of these pants are correct in terms of size, some are really far off the mark.

I really wanted to love these pants but they just didn't work for me. The material is durable yet soft, but they were huge on me. I am 5'10 and 150lbs and ordered a small and medium to compare, and both were way too big. The small was tight pulling over my hips, but once on they still ballooned out around my legs. I may try an XS but not sure I'll be able to fit through the waist.

After reading all the rave reviews about these pants I decided to try them. They are everything everyone said about them-- comfortable, versatile, tough, and true to size. The only false information about them came from Sierra Trading Post itself. In an answer posted to a question on 6/15/2011, STP answered that the pants had a velcro closure back pocket. When I received the three pairs I ordered, none of them had a back pocket. I always carry my keys in a back pocket, so this feature was important to me. However, the pants are so nice that I am keeping them anyway. I may try the Original Douradas because they are advertised as having a back pocket, even though I prefer the tapered legs of the Traditional Douradas.
