The specs say 85% wool and 15% nylon with thinsulate insulation. What STP sent me was 55% wool and 45% acrylic. It had a fleece lining but no thinsulate insulation. Shipping will probably make it too expensive to get a refund so I'm stuck.

The hat is warm, looks fine, I guess, but I just can't figure out how to wear it. If I put it on without folding it up, it sits too high on my head and is rather loose. But if I try to fold it up, it barely fits on my head. I'll likely use it as a sleep hat while backpacking; pulled down it covers my eyes with that nice soft fleece.

This hat has a good intension, and almost makes it to the top. A smigion more material would have done it, but costs being what they are, they decided they didn't need that extra material... I gave the hat to my wife and she loves it!

If you wear a small hat size, this will blow off in the wind. Try the traditional all-wool watch cap instead.
Fortunately, we have all sizes in our household, so we will keep it and we will use it. It is very comfortable.
