“If the scarf ends were longer, you would have trouble buttoning/zippering closed your coat, so I think they took this in mind when designing it. For me, the scarf length is just right. You just have to remember to wrap the scarf ends as far back around your neck as they will go before you button up. Also, you get a snugger fit on your head if you slightly cuff/roll back the excess halo of material around your face by about an inch, which pulls the whole thing forward a bit and anchors the hood more. Lastly, it IS reversible, if you dont care about the lack of accessibility of the loop when you wear it as a black hood; but your buttoned coat keeps it all in place anyway when the scarf ends are wrapped (because of the bulk), so you don't really need that feature anyway. This is a nice, quality-made, practical item at a rediculously low price.”
