Outside in the cold? Snowboarding, skiing,or just plain snowshoeing? These mittens will even make Ms. Piggy jealous,so be careful. They're big enough to fit over your coyote gloves and keep those fingers good and warm.

These mittens are just as you would imagine from the picture. Quality soft shearling on the back. Soft leather palms. A ripstop and gore tex shell. There is also a thick removable inner mitten. Buy larger than you think. I measured my hand at the knuckles. 3 1/2 across and 1" thick. I just make into an XL pair.

Yongest son received a pair at xmas for skiing. Worked great. Visited his older brother away at school in Steamboat Springs. After a day on the slopes he wanted a pair also. Received his pair via ups a few days later. These are made much better than the $70 double nylon mittens both son's had previously. Very solid construction. Warm, water and wind proof. Treated the leather with a little mink oil for longevity and softness. They should easily last for more than 2 seasons unlike their older mittens. Can remove the inner insulating mitten in warmer conditions.

I use these for snowboarding and they work very well. They fit easily over the sleeves of my parka and stay on well thanks to arm and wrist straps. The fleece backs are great for clearing snow or warming your face on the lift. I used them at 10 degrees F without the lining and they were nice and warm. They are extremely well constructed and designed with nice touches such as a clip to hold the loose end of the wrist strap and a little leather grip inside to help pull them on nice and tight.

I kept borrowing my son's and husband's pairs which they've had for a year since they are super warm. I use them for any extended time outside. I take long walks with my dog in subzero temps and when I need to pull my hands out and have to grab that plastic bag out of my pocket for those pickups, my hands are warm and aren't bothered by the subzero temps. The only cons is that I ordered a variety of sizes and the extra larges were slightly larger than the smalls. (I ordered a small, large and extra large). So I called STP and had them send another extra large pair. Luckily this pair fits pretty well and is about the same size as the large they sent. I have long fingers but certainly not a man's extra large size being an average height woman.

I wear a women's size 7 glove and hoped that a small in these would fit. It was too big and bulky though and there is no way I could hold ski poles or a snow shovel with them. Will be trying to find a similar item in a women's size. These looked nice, felt warm and they would be great for a larger hand, I think.

They are beautiful but I need to wear them when walking my dogs. The mittens are too bulky to go around two leashes. I am very disappointed; I have cold hands when the weather drops.

I might not have a chance to use them for a while but I'm sure they'll keep my hands warm in almost any condition when I need them and will last a long time.
