4.0 out of 5 stars. Down with downVerified Buyer Reviewed by Savvy shopper from NyNy on Wednesday, January 14, 2015Got these mittens in white ( which is hard to find true white) to go w a white down coat. The whites match perfectly. Although I haven't warn them yet I've tried them in. I'm sure they are warm. I guess most people would purchase for skiing but I got them for walking my 2 dogs. The only negative is they are huge and it looks like I have lobster claws for hands.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Thumbs are strangeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ed the engineer from New England on Tuesday, December 23, 2014Overall looks good, but the thumbs are too short! You can get your thumbs in, but the grove between the mitten and the thumb does NOT go down deep enough to match your hand. I'm not sure if this will become an annoyance while hiking or skiing with poles. Time will tell, but I hope they work out .

2.0 out of 5 stars. Warm for dry weather not good for skiingReviewed by Anonymous from NY on Saturday, December 20, 2014Just came in for lunch from the slopes and these mittens are thoroughly damp inside and out. Not good for skiing but would be great for a walk on a cold day. Shell is very delicate I don't think it will hold up to aggressive use.

4.0 out of 5 stars. warmReviewed by Anonymous from Maryland on Thursday, February 13, 2014I got these just in time. They are very warm in wind as well as just cold. I bought the large, they could be just a little longer before the cuff. I also like the cuff to be a little looser, simply because of arthritis in my wrist. So far have used them only for walking.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Brrrrr!Reviewed by Cold hands in CB from Colorado on Thursday, December 26, 2013These mittens are NOT warm! My wife put these gloves on Christmas night to walk our dog. When she returned she said that her thumbs got cold immediately, and that she could feel cold air coming through the stitching on the tops of her hands. These mittens are going back today!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome!!Reviewed by Judy the dog walkermichigan from Michigan on Tuesday, December 24, 2013These mittens are super warm. My fingers always get cold which is why I am always searching for the perfect mittens, gloves don't ever keep them warm enough. These are very lightweight and toasty warm. Tested them out on a 15 above zero day last week and they were perfect. My dog needs to be walked every day, no matter what the weather, and my fingers were warm, almost to the point of getting hot. My fingers were actually sweating a bit, but the insides stayed warm even though slightly damp. To dry them out after my walks I just put them in the clothes dryer on low setting for about ten minutes with a couple tennis balls and they are ready for my next walk. Another good thing is these mittens don't have the glove liner inside, which totally defeats the purpose of keeping your fingers together.
