I really like that these gloves come with a removable fleece liner glove because it allows me wear just the shell when I don't need as much warmth. The wrist straps are a big plus for skiing so you don't drop the glove if you want to take it off to use your hands. The pull tabs and tightening straps are all very well placed to allow you to use them easily with the gloves on.
The breathability seems to be very decent without the liner glove. With it, it seems to decrease significantly. Maybe using a thin wool glove as a liner would be work better to keep my hands drier and to keep them from getting chilled as much once they sweat and get a bit wet.
I used these while skiing. Started the day with just the shell at 26°F and my hands felt good until they got a bit wet from moisture and the temperature dropped further to about 18°F. At that point I put on the fleece liner as well and it kept my hands warm until it got wet as well.
