Reviewed by BC Fotos from Los Angeles on Thursday, April 18, 2013I am so surprised when I exam the harnessss that it does not have any quick disconnect or Velcro. Each of the attachment (there are three of them) requires you to thread one of the straps into two very cumbersome belt-keeper-like strips in order to attach. It is ridiculous to think it will take you 5-min. to put it on and possible longer to take it off. I returned.
Reviewed by Dog Hiker from Washington, DC on Thursday, April 11, 2013Great pack for our two dogs to carry their own gear and food. Saddlebags are roomy and have a nice separate zipper compartment. The materials feel extremely well-made and high quality. The full vest construction helps with weight balancing, but you still need to make sure the bags are balanced or you will see some sagging to one side. A bit difficult to get on and off, but they wear them for hours at a time, so it's not really a big deal. Overall a very well made product and one that I would recommend. Both of my dogs were comfortable the whole trip! I'm glad I spent a little extra to go with this pack instead of the cheaper versions.
Reviewed by Mike from Cleveland, OH on Sunday, February 17, 2013I got this for my lab-ish mutt, Gus. He's a lean 50lbs but relatively short and stout and the small fits perfectly. It's easy to use and I had no problem with it staying on through long hikes in the Colorado Rockies in the middle of winter. I load each side up with 2 water bottles and some miscellaneous gear and I feel it weighs Gus down enough to get a good workout, while also giving him a job to do.
