Great quality. What I like the most: it is waterproof! Very comfortable for hiking long distances.

I bought this pack for my husband for a Grand Canyon trip and it was a disaster. The straps wouldn't stay tight and the pack would loosen and hang off his back. You have to roll up the straps and use the velcro attachments to make the straps secure which means no quick/easy adjustments while you are on the trail. There is no rigid internal frame and the pack actually buckled and was gouging my husbands back. We did decide to keep it as a day pack for quick hikes but thats about all it's good for.

The Flash Backpack is perfect for a week long trip. Sturdy, water resistant, and highly adjustable, this pack served me well on a recent trip to Maine. The suspension system is lightweight and does a good job of distributing the weight evenly. I was considering buying Granite Gear's Female version of this pack, but I am glad I didn't because for $100 more I really do not see the difference with the Vapor Flash. This pack is not super huge, and fits as a carry on on airplanes. I was able to walk for miles with it without feeling terribly sore on my back.

Have a planned trip to hike and camp in Yosemite and needed a pack. My sister, (an experienced hiker) helped me pick out this pack. I've been training wearing the weighted pack and it is comfortable and fits well. I do wish it had a pocket on the front, but the top that becomes a fanny pack is great. For the price this is a wonderful value.

Just what I expected - well-made and will absolutely take the stress off of my too-stuffed daypack. Top opens to one huge compartment. Would have been nice if zippered pockets were on the waist belt - they seem to be standard on most packs these days.
