“I bought these for my living room windows in my 75 year old arts and crafts house. Although I like the style and color, I was really looking for shades with more insulating ability. The cotton shades appear to have a negligible thin backing and at first I wondered, "Where's the insulation?!" If you have newer windows I think they'd be fine, but if you're hoping for breeze stopping ability and heat conservation, I'm not so sure how these will perform.”
