This is a compact, sleek, fine backpack. I had a beloved Gregory Bang backpack for 10 years and bought this as a replacement. It isn't as roomy and the shoulder straps are so far less comfy than the Bang. However, it's a great commuter bag and has a back pocket for your computer. Some of the interior pockets are pretty buried and not automatically easy to navigate too, but I suppose those who are security-minded would appreciate that.

I was looking for a smaller size backpack and this one fits the requirement and then some. It has plenty of room for my needs and compartments to keep all of your things organized. Quality of construction looks good out of the box but its new and not "field tested" yet. I appreciate the sternum strap.

About Gregory

After designing his first backpack as a Boy Scout at the age of 14, Wayne Gregory dedicated his career to making outstanding gear, a mission that eventually led him to create Gregory Mountain Products in 1977. From the beginning, Gregory backpacks have been engineered using a combination of field research and customer feedback in order to enhance durability, fit and function. The brand has pioneered many industry firsts, such as multiple pack sizes with different frame, harness and waist belt dimensions. They also developed the first waist belt system that offered a variety of hip angles. Not surprisingly, Gregory backpacks have been praised in a wide range of publications, from Backpacker magazine to National Geographic Adventure.
