Seemed to fit my little sister like a glove and she loves it. I liked it so much, I bought my wife one as well. dumped 50 lbs in it and the suspension was so much better than her old pack that she thought I only put 25 in.

I have had some previous backpacking experience with Outward Bound, but am otherwise a novice. I bought this pack for my first personal hiking trip and tested it on a five-mile hike through the woods around Nashville, TN, with 30 lbs in the pack. The straps and pads were comfortable and easy to adjust while hiking, and the back had very comfortable cushions with some ventilation. The tall, narrow pack carried weight high and close to my body, good for tight trails through trees and brush. Near the right hip is an easy-access pouch large enough for a Nalgene, long axis parallel to the ground, with an elastic band to hold the Nalgene in place; fantastic for staying hydrated if you don't have a Camelbak. There are straps on the outside, along the side of the pack, for tethering gear. The only downsides might be the lack of small pockets on the outside and the limited amount of space in the pack if you tend to bring a lot of gear. Overall, a great purchase, especially since it was on clearance. I can't wait for my big hiking trip!

This backpack will be used for international travel, camping and hiking. The backpack is well-made, durable and comfortable. It is also versatile, in that it can accommodate camping equipment or packed for multi-stop travel--with easy accessibility to items from the top or the bottom.
