Verified Buyer Reviewed by Milesandmiles from Northern California on Thursday, January 1, 2015Love the Baltoro for long hauls, and picked this based on trust for the name. Lots of bells and whistles, good pockets, sound construction of the bag itself. Took it out once. This bag was great for dayhiking, but once the necessaries were emptied, the back sheet folded into almost a 90 degree angle in the lumbar zone. This was uncomfortable, and NOT what we wanted. Back it goes.
Exactly what I needed for a day trip. No internal or external frame which was required for trip. Had bladder pocket and tube port.Verified Buyer Reviewed by PJ from California on Wednesday, May 21, 2014Perfect for long day trip or overnight hike.
Reviewed by M. Dickerman from North Carolina on Wednesday, June 19, 2013I got this pack for my 13 year old daughter as a camping pack but ended up keeping it for my wife as a day pack. Excellently designed but ended up being smaller than I imagined it would be.
The pockets, strap placement and compartments are very well thought out well designed. A little disappointed with the lack of back badding or support. No backing to keep the back stiff - I guess I expected there to be some sort of basic internal frame type stiffness or backing and there really isn't. If you carry something in this pack that is oddly shaped or jagged you're going to feel it in your back. For as well designed as the rest of it is a little raised, mesh padding on the back would have gone a LONG way.
Question & Answer
“Can you tell me the range of waist sizes each of the three sizes of this pack will accommodate? Thanks!”
“Does this come w/ a raincover? Also, aren't tension spring steel bar and aluminum frames stronger than HDPE?”
This does not come with a rain cover. HDPE is a strong polymer.
