Bottom Line:

“You may get the impression that the Gannett 80 is almost the same as Gregory's Palisade 80, but there are some huge quality differences that account for the price difference. It is not the same suspension, the zippers on the Gannett are not the same quality, Unlike the Palisade, the material on the back of the pack is the heavy material used on the pack bottom, access to the pack interior isn't as nice, tie-offs on the Gannett are not as useful, don't underestimate what it is going to cost you to add on hip belt pockets if that is something you are used to.
However, I love Gregory suspension and the Gannett suspension works well. It sure holds a lot. For the price, I am satisfied, I'm just not impressed.”
