Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Deno from IL on Thursday, May 22, 2014I have been looking for a small backpack for a long time, this is the one! I will use it as a day pack for hiking, it holds a DSLR with a wide angle lens, rain pants, water bottle, snack and other stuff for a long day. No sweaty back, internal frame that keeps it off your back. I paid 71.47.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gypsy Queen from Wisconsin on Monday, May 5, 2014I have a small frame and really like the narrower shoulder straps. The waist belt could be a little smaller in circumference. The pockets on the waist belt are a little small too small for even a tiny GPS unit but good for lip balm and half a granola bar. I like the side mesh pockets and big outer pockets. My biggest complaint is the zipper for the main compartment is really close next to the frame. I would have liked it a little more centered. The frame itself has a great design for comfort and airflow. It fit me really well and no sweaty back when I was done for the day!
Reviewed by Angel from Washington on Tuesday, September 17, 2013This pack is ideal for carting a lunch, water and extra clothing. I don't feel any drag since the weight is perfectly balanced due to the design. The best part is the mesh between the pack and your back. No more sweaty back except a bit around the hips and strap area. For the price and quality, this is a great backpack.
Reviewed by topshot from Maine on Monday, May 27, 2013I am and older person and use this pay for long and challenging dayhikes. Just carried 17 lbs of stuff in this pack on a 7-mile hike and my back was never tired - I didn't even sense the weight at all. It's so well-made, holds just the right amount without being unwieldy, and there is even an access port for your water bladder and tube. I *HIGHLY* recommend this pack. Fits the female physique perfectly, and the curved straps mean no more digging in and cutting circulation off by your armpits.
Reviewed by topshot from Maine on Tuesday, April 16, 2013This is an interesting pack. It is a heavy-duty pack for a daytrip, when you need to carry lots of stuff. It holds a ton, considering its small size, though I can't really say it's meant for more than a simple overnighter or long-haul day trip. Serious support, plenty of ventilation, fits the body well in a balanced way. Honestly I never thought the color choice would be important to me, but I have to say the purple color (moonlight mauve) is simply beautiful.
Answer The Jade 24 backpack has a capacity of 1404 cu in., it is primarily a day pack. For a 3 to 5 day trip you would want a pack with 3000 to 5000 cu in of capacity. Item #3024W would be a more appropriate for a 3-5 day trip.
