Reviewed by Dog Walker from NC on Thursday, March 20, 2014I'm no backpack expert, but I really love the features on this pack. Big enough for a long day hike and carry everything you'd need. super-=comfy-- went 9+ miles up & down the other day with it for first time and was so much happier than with my old packs. All components good quality, well thought out. Would definitely go with a larger size Gregory pack for any overnights If I ever get up the courage to go real backpacking!)
Reviewed by SF from UK on Wednesday, February 5, 2014I bought a Gregory Cairn 68 last year for a long backpacking holiday - which took some finding as this make was the only one which has the correct shape for my back. After loving my Gregory Cairn 68 and how it fitted to my back I also wanted to get another backpack but with less capacity for shorter journeys. Getting a smaller capacity backpack seemed the most logical option.
I bought the Jade 28 backpack as I was after a rucksack that would cater for 1-2 nights for multisport use. The Jade 28 has a mesh covering on the bit behind the back which I particularly wanted so there is airflow to keep the back dry when using - especially for cycling.
I am really happy with my purchase, fits like a dream just like my other Gregory pack.
Sienna trading was great for the Jade 28 purchase as for some reason Gregory packs are really difficult to source in the UK & Europe they also had really good discount offer which made them even better value.
Answer I see no reason why you could not secure them to the sides of the pack.
