It has been a great bag. Took it on a weekend adventure in the Adirondack and WOW was it a good time. This is the nicest pack I've ever owned and it was worth the money.

Used this pack for my first hike into the Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana. Good equipment is a must for adventures into this rugged back country, and the Gregory Jade 50 pack served all my needs during the two day excursion. The hike was during great weather conditions, so I cannot say what problems might occur when using this in rain.

This backpack is not only lightweight, but adjustable to any persons frame. There are many adjustments to personalize the fit. The straps for the shoulders are made specifically for a woman. It also has a strap that holds the shoulder straps in place. Lots of storage.

I took this pack on a weekend backpacking trip and enjoyed it, as long as it was cinched up properly on my back. It was my first backpacking trip, so I was hoping for some more instructions on how to properly fit the pack and put it on. It didn't come with any documentation other than how to adjust the waist belt. It did feel comfortable, no extra rubbing on the shoulders or hips. I had 35 pounds in it, which was a bit too much (although it is rated to 40 lbs). I found it easy to load and I like the 2 extra outside pockets, plus the side zipper gets you access to almost anything inside. One downfall is that it doesn't come with a pack cover. It also doesn't have a sleeping bag compartment, but my bag was able to fit all the way at the bottom. I really like the bluebird color, it makes it look more feminine. I would give it 5 stars if it came with a rain cover.

This is a really nice pack and the belt feels very supportive and stable/true womans pack. It has a good number of useful pockets and access.I did get a rain cover from another backpack brand. Its a little larger and heavier than I think I need. But great for extended journeys and can handle the weight. I am still keeping my eyes open for a little lighter pack under 3 lbs as I am 5'1 about to walk for 6 weeks and only carrying around 11 lbs in my pack.
    • Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Heavy Loads, Travel
    • Cons: A little bulky, Does not come with cover

This is well made bag, however the shoulder straps were too narrow and rubbed my neck, also the padding was just ok. Fine for really light loads but anything more than 15lbs or so would be uncomfortable. I really love the design of Gregory bags and my husband carries the Gregory Triconi 60 and loves it.

Bought [...] this pack for a 3 day AT Oct trip. EXTREMELY comfortable, but NO bottom access for sleeping bag. Had to leave at home because couldn't get colder weather bag down into the pack sufficiently. However this must be best ventilated pack - the space in the lumbar region is ridiculous so the air flow would be great. Probably has too much space if you are carrying summer bag and gear, but impossible to get cold weather bag down enough..... rare miss for Gregory.

I recently ordered this pack and it is everything I was looking for. The fit is perfect, I love how adjustable it is and it fit my hydration system perfectly. Great little side pockets on the waist belt for a camera and quick to grab items (like chap stick and a hair clip).
