Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Masdevallia from Bend, OR on Sunday, September 28, 2014I purchased this based on great reviews here as well as other sites. I was excited about the 11mm thick padding, the pockets at the hip belt, and the reported comfort that users enjoyed. But this won't work for me. The internal frame is curved in a way that does not align with my back. I filled the pack at home with large books for weight and clothes/freeze dried meals for bulk. But even with the pack full, it didn't touch the middle of my back. Obviously, this isn't advisable. So back it goes. I'm disappointed. I had really looked forward to receiving and using the Jade 70, especially with Sierra's awesome prices. But my search continues.
Reviewed by Amac76 from Ellicott City, MD on Wednesday, March 26, 2014Great backpack for multiple day hikes. Lots of pockets and pouches for all the extras I like to take along. Comfortable on shoulders and back - great padding on straps!
Reviewed by Omni from California on Thursday, December 5, 2013Love this pack primarily b/c you can access the contents via the top or front, making it ideal for rough-and-tumble travel. I prefer other packs for actual backpacking--this one does not have a sleeping bag compartment. I'm 5'8" and the women's medium is a great fit.
