It is a bit small but thats perfect for me i have used it snowshoeing and skiing and is a great size for a day adventure. I can fit my water, snacks leashes and all my accessories just fine and not be weighed down.

Feels grafted into my spine. But in a good way.

Based on the reviews regarding sizing I thought I'd try this pack for my 8 year old son. The fit is good when all the straps are cinched tight, but I'm concerned about carrying capacity. He's in an Explorers Club out on hikes in the woods for about 4 or 5 hour at a time in the Pacific Northwest. I think water, an extra layer, rain gear and lunch will all fit, but there's little space for much else, and we're talking average 8 year old size clothing. Maybe we'll try it out on little sister (6 years old.) Would recommend only for minimalist day hikes for children; I don't think this could possibly be sized for an adult. On the positive side, the construction is great and I'm sure we'll get many years of use out of this pack between the 2 kids.

The pack was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it has been working out great for day hikes. Plenty of room to hold a full hydration bladder, rain gear, and extra layers.

I'd give this pack a 5 star rating if I were a member of the Lolly Pop Guild. Since I'm not 9 years old though, it is waaay too small. Specifically too short. Yet it is listed as a tall torso length & I'm only 5'10". Oddly enough, it includes a nice padded hip belt... as if any adult human was small enough to lower the pack to hip level to put the weight on their hips. The bulkiness of the waist belt is not only useless, but gets in the way, since it would go across the rib cage or just under. Besides that, it is a wonderfully designed pack and extremely well constructed. Superb quality for the price... but useless for me. I exchanged it for the Miwok, which is still short, but tall enough to work something out, with the same supreme quality & construction. :)
