The tag says 60/40 wool/ polyester. No insulation. Nothing like the description. It's for town only and not for a cold windy day either. So this is a one star review. The makinaw style is only that. It's single layer wool on the shoulders. The back is actually overlapped open not sewn with the lining exposed when you raise up the back at shoulder blade level. Will probably sew it shut and use as a barn coat as I don't wish to pay the return shipping. Guess it is worth the closeout price with the deal flyer discount as long as you know what you are getting, but it's debateable. weighs 3 3/4 lbs. 2 inside pockets. one a zipper / one a button. The buttons are larger than expected. sized like the chart says. I normally wear xl so I ordered 2xl.

This is a decent medium-weight coat. Nice features include hidden knit storm cuffs inside the sleeves, removable mouton collar, plenty of pockets, and retro outdoorsy style. Unfortunately, it runs snug for a cold-weather garment that one might expect to wear with layers -- particularly so at the armpits. Had to return mine for this reason. As long as you know what you're getting into with the sizing, this is a nice coat for the price. If you're looking for a snug fit and don't require a longer sleeve, order your normal size. If you typically wear layers and/or have longer arms, go a size up.
