Ground Orb Fleece Jacket (For Men)

As many others have said, the neck is WAY too big! It almost looks comical! I definitely miss the pockets as well. However, I like the trim fit as I'm not large at the waist, & the form-fitting style can be flattering. I live in the NC mtns., & on cold days I use it as a base-layer; it works very well in that manner.

I purchased this product as a mid-weight layer for ice climbing in New Hampshire. I found the weight to definitely be a lightweight and not a midweight thickness. The fit is good and allows free movement. The product appears to be well built, seams and stitching are very good. My only complaint, and it is a big one is that it continually unzips from the bottom up. The first time I used this fleece, I noticed a draft on my stomach, when I unzipped my jacket, I discovered that the fleece had unzipped roughly 10" or so. This problem is easy to remedy...just pull the zipper down, but it is minutes before it starts to creep back up. The feature of the two zippers was atractive to me, but Inow wish that this was not an option.

LONGISH SLEEVES ARE A GOOD THING! Read on: I have long arms; as a result, I have very few shirts, jackets, or coats that I can count on to keep my wrists and forearms warm...until now. Thus far, I've worn this jacket chopping wood, handling outdoor chores in 10-30 degree weather, and just banging around the house. Despite being constructed of thin and lightweight fleece, it kept me pleasantly warm in each case without hampering my flexibility or exposing my wrists to the world. For that reason, and the fact that it just looks and feels great, I LOVE the Orb. I can see how folks without apelike arms could find the sleeves annoying (per other comments) but for me this jacket is a perfect companion. My only 'con'ment is that the cut of the sleeve is too tight to layer over bulkier long sleeved shirts. Even as such, I'd advocate picking a different jacket when needed rather than tweaking the current design of this one.

I use this everyday and to run in cool (40's) weather. This is a lightweight mid layer fleece. It is perfect for that or by itself. Very good looking. Sleeves are long but useful on runs when you needed to bring heavier gloves than you did. Not sure about durability yet. Picks up lots of dog hair but lots in my life. I'm 5'9" 165 and large is a very good fit.

Light weight, but appeared to be well fabricated. The size was on the larger size, as this style is best worn snug. The assymetrical two tone design of the jacket did not look right. Would look fine in a solid color. The synthetic man made fiber generates lots and lots of static. I felt like an off centered lightning rod!

Just not cut right. Very close cut at the waist. This would be fine for layering applications. But the neck is incredibly large. Zip it all the way up and the collar is open very wide around the neck. You could not zip a shell all the way up outside on top of this because the collar is just too big.

Great jacket as long as it fits you. Designed for a fit person with wide shoulders and trim mid section. Great styling and appears to be built well.

Extremely light, soft, stretchable fleece which provides excellent warmth and wind protection. The cut is fitted athletic - perfect for workouts and as a layer under a shell.

Godd for going out in cool weather, stylish look.
