3.0 out of 5 stars. Gorgeous; Got Problems

Most gorgeous watch I've seen. The black (anodyne?) paint over the stainless steel casing scratched w/I a week (contact with a concrete fountain - my fault in part). A month later the crystal developed a curving internal fracture. Called Gevril. Was told "only watches purchased from an authorized dealer are warranties, and,in any case, no crystal is warrantied". Crystal replacement: $170. Fracture is due in part to design, in that it is raised well above the casing and is vulnerable. Other part: me, I have had digital multi-function watches and am a watch abuser! WATCH GOOD FOR: Special Occasions. It's like an melodramatic adorable girlfriend: good company for a Satirday night dinner. Still love this Parachute. But not for parachuting!

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Nice but has quirks
Reviewed by Shane from Pittsburgh on Wednesday, July 8, 2015
Just got this today. Looks great and it's working. Nice Pittsburgh colors. Two issues. The band is attached backwards from usual with the buckle strap on the bottom instead of top. No biggie. The chronograph second hand resets to two seconds short of zero. That's more of an issue, since it's bothersome. I tried the typical chronograph fix of pulling out the crown and pressing the top chronograph button but no luck. I've started it and stopped at zero but that's a temp fix. If anyone has fixed this, please post.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Great looking watch

Watch is perfect size, shape, and design. Looks great and I get a lot of compliments when wearing it however, it does not have the "feel" of a watch that retails for $1800. The buttons are difficult to press in. The illuminated hands are not bright even after just coming in from the bright sun. Looks great though.

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Very good designs but unreliable and poor service
Reviewed by Peter from Morgantown on Wednesday, June 5, 2013
I bough a GV2 partly because I really liked its looks. However, within the first two years, I stopped working serveral time. Once it cam back from the authorized repairshops with small but visible scraches on the face and larger scratches on the back. After the last breakdown I decided to save my money and hot repair the watch. It is currently sitting in a closet sot that I do not have to look at a relatively expensive purchase that was worth a small fraction what I paid for, I gave it two stars only because of the design. The rest....
