    I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the stretchy waist but it makes them pretty comfortable and you can't tell they are constructed like that. I got the chocolate color and the butter color. The butter is really yellow and I wouldn't recommend that color. I didn't realize how yellow until I actually had them with a full outfit. I was thinking it was more of a light tan. Another small issue was that there were a couple tiny spots (like the size of a sesame seed) where the felt was gone and the material was off-color. On mine they were near the the bottom leg, so you couldn't see it. It should be pointed out that these are not thick cords. The material is more like the thickness of normal khakis. I was happy with that but if you wanted them to be extra soft and thick, these are not the cords for you.

    The comfort waist on these pants are great. They give but there is no slippage and they stay at your waist. Very well well made and warm for winter.

    I purchased two pairs of these pants--both marked 36/31. One pair fit perfectly; the other pair was too short. When I measured the inseam on the second pair it was not 31 inches, but 29 inches. Clearly the manufacturer had mislabeled the product, and customers should realize that they may not receive the size that they order.
