“I love how lightweight this jacket is and the quality of the construction. It's the lightest rain jacket I've ever tried on, and fit and coverage is good. Ventilation is limited to two rather small side pockets. However, I took this jacket out on a trail run on a very windy, very rainy day (winter in the Pacific Northwest!) and by the end of my half hour run, there was considerable moisture throughout the inside lining of the jacket. While it could have been condensation, it seemed more like beading from the rain pelting down on it. The jacket was not so wet on the inside as to get my shirt wet, however, so for lack of a better jacket, I will most likely continue to use this for running. I would recommend this for casual wear or hiking, but would think twice about taking it out on a long hike in a downpour. The hood, however, is great - it has a nice beak that keeps the rain from hitting your face, even while running, with an elastic cord system around the whole hood for the perfect fit in a variety of different conditions.”
