Reviewed by Jen from Alabama on Wednesday, May 01, 2013I bought this coat because I was going to spend a month in the northern part of France in March when it is frequently rainy. It was perfect. It kept me dry, and it was light and comfortable to wear all day long while exploring cities and hiking in the drizzle and rain. It's not heavy, which I liked, so I just wore another layer underneath and stayed warm when it was cold outside. I especially liked the collar which is lined with a thin layer of fleece and kept me warm. The hood is surprisingly warm too because it does a great job keeping out the wind, and I liked the little bill on the front of the hood to help keep water off my glasses so I could see. I've also worn this coat in heavy southern US thunderstorms and it has held up well. My only regret is not having bought one years sooner!

Reviewed by Steve from NEPA on Friday, January 25, 2013Excellent fit and construction. Great in wet conditions and cool conditions with layering. This jacket might benefit from just a little more torso length as it seems just a little shorter than I expected from a gore tex shell.
