Verified Buyer Reviewed by NCal Bob from Northern California on Thursday, February 5, 2015The hybrid is so nice I ordered a second pair in a different color right away before they were gone. I probably wont wear them as a hiking shoe. Walking shoe, yes. The around the back of the heel does not feel supportive enough for any kind of light mountain hiking. Having said that, I love the shoe as a casual shoe or easy walker. Around the house I find myself slipping into them often with ease. They are almost like a super comfy classy pair of slippers. I used to own a pair of And1 after party shoes and these hybrids remind me of those. Very good looking, super comfy, EASY to get on and off. Just stick your foot in and let the back of the heel crush down, then reach down and pull it up over the heel and BAM.......on your way. My first pair of Haglofs.
I will take them out on the trail and revise my review at some point if I feel differently after hiking in them.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Romulus from Rome on Thursday, February 5, 2015I don't know why these are called hiking shoes. They would be a disaster on a hike. They are basically light athletic shoes. As Haglofs does with some other products, it has teamed with Asics, which supplies the sole, if not the entire shoe. I like them because they don't have laces and because they do have a funky color scheme, with the color changing right down the middle of the shoe. You can be pretty sure no one else is going to have them at the gym. But those are the reasons to get this shoe, not to go hiking.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Zornrah from Ashfoprd, Ct on Saturday, December 20, 2014I can only say that the objection i have to this product's design was obscured by the camera angles the STP photographer used. I simply dislike the color positions on the shoes (specifically the split between green and grey), and this was totally obscured by the camera angles the photographer used. Now obviously i do not think that anybody was trying to hide anything, it just happen that in this rare instance i am less than 100% happy with the product i received because it is not what i expected judging by the photos on the site.
That being said, they are still cool shoes. The green ones i got are a really nice shade.
I really like the ankle collar and the lack of tongue in the shoe, it makes it a lot more convenient for daily on/off hassles, especially for those who deign not to wear shoes in their homes. These are really easy on & off and once you pull them on, you're ready to go. No hassles.
I will say that the collar might be a bit tight for some, i solve the problem by wearing thin socks, preferably ones that have a smooth texture. It aids in slipping the heel into the footbed.
OH, one thing that STP DID DO COMPLETELY WRONG, i called to ask if the sizing on the site was american or UK and was informed that it was UK, which meant the shoe would fit perfectly. This is patently wrong, the sales rep totally blew it and gave me the opposite answer, the WRONG one. Luckily the shoe still fit, but otherwise i would have been paying to send them back, and i would have been upset because it would have been STP's fault.
Nice shade of green though, thats what got me to bite, i will admit.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by CustomPoolsDave from So. Calif. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014I am really happy with shoe. I like unusual and technical looking shoes. These fit the bill. Very unique. Bought for everyday wear and they are comfy and easy to put on. I wear 9.5 or 10 depending on the manufacturer and since I have never had a Haglof shoe before I crossed my fingers and ordered the 9.5 which fit really good, maybe even a bit on the large size so I would say then run a little large. I have no complaints.
