Haglofs LIM Ultimate Gore-Tex® PacLite® Shell Jacket - Waterproof (For Men)

Order one size up. I've tortured tested this shell since '05 here in the PNW outdoor labs. Done LOTS of flyfishing in it. Last year I even started wearing it as my go-to snowboarding jacket after tiring of my North Face HiVent getting soaked. Greatest outerwear garment i've ever owned. Never leaks, seals out wind/cold, breathes, seemingly never wears out, & weighs nothing. Hood and sleeves are perfectly fitted for rain protection and allow for layering. Waterproof zipper does catch so it takes 2 hands to pull it up/down. Will definitely buy another IF it ever wears out...

I did not try this item in the elements. It was a snug fitting jacket. I am slender and 6'6" tall with 36-37 sleeve length. The sleeves fit well. But they were not sufficiently large to layer underneath easily. I think I would have kept it if I had ordered 3xl, if they even make one. I did like the jacket and it seemed to be made well. But it was just to snug.

I bought a XXL and found the product was no larger than a Large at best, so I had to return it. It must have been mislabeled. Also, this product has a left sided zipper and not a right sided zipper as is standard in men's jackets in the US.

Great hood system, zips "left" European men's model, only one chest pocket, no handwarmer or other pockets, thumb pulls for drawing hands into the sleeves, runs small - order up one size

Wonderful Extremely Lightweight and Durable Perfect Shell

I had been looking at an Arc'teryx Alpha SL but saw this one as a great deal. Haglofs is one brand that is about on par with Arc'teryx in terms of durability, fabrics, cut/fit, design, etc. The LIM Ultimate is super light, actually lighter than the Alpha SL. It has minimalist features to save on weight-which is what I was looking for-such as only one pocket that is still waterproof zipped, no velcro cinches at the sleeves, and even the cinches for the hood are not encased in material to save weight. Build quality is very nice and the yellow color while not my first choice is high visibilty and works fine at this price. I like it so much that I may add a Gore-Tex Pro Shell by Haglofs in the future to replace my aging TNF Kitchatna.
