No trial and error in getting the correct size on these. Fits like a glove, with room for a base layer, if so desired. Usually "water-proof" means you sweat, inside the fabric. Not so on these. Very breathable, and comfortable. The 4 way stretch is true to its word. Easy to bend over, work, ski on mild days, enter and exit kayaks, etc. Thought I would hate the pocket near the knee, but it is fine, and allows easy access without taking off jacket and exposing oneself to snow and wind. Unlike most ski pants, these do not pook out, so the belted waist actually looks good. Unlike most ski pants which are good for only ONE activity, these can be used in many types of sports....or just wearing if one doesn't mind the very sporty appearance. Highly recommended.

These pants are great. So comfortable. I really like the suspenders that were included. That was a surprise. They fit very true to size. They appear to be warm, as they are well lined. I just wish that these pants came in two lengths, as I have to have them hemmed.

These pants are a great fit. I am 5' 7" and 150 lbs and the 12 fits me perfectly. I like that the long length is long enough since I have long legs for my height. The belt that comes with them is nice. I didn't think I would like it, but it makes for a neater look.

Since it snowed on Friday, I got the chance to use these pants. They are quite flexible and move with you--such a different fabric. The belt clasp is well-made and has two snaps on the waistband as well. The three pockets have zippers and all seem to be of good quality, moving up and down smoothly. I took a walk in the snow when it was 28 degrees. I was unbelievably warm with a base layer underneath. I think these can easily be used for snow tubing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing with a base layer. I will definitely use these for hiking and kayaking. They are available in lengths--I'm 5'2" and the short fit perfectly. The ankle narrows at the bottom but I was able to get my thick Khombu boots underneath! I will be buying more of this brand. Go Scandinavia!!!

I bought these pants to wear kayaking and hiking. I thought if I bought a size up I could wear in the snow with a good base layer. I tried them out today and was unbelievably warm and dry. However, it's only 28 degrees out. They are good-looking and very comfortable--they move with you. The pockets are an added plus for phone, keys, pedometer, etc. An added bonus is that they come in lengths! I am going to order the insulated ones in my size. I would highly recommend these. The Swedes know how to do cold!
