Check out Haglofs website for accurate sizing. The jacket fit according to their measurement chart. Apparently Men in Sweden have smaller chest sizes. I wear an L U.S. and the XL I purchased fits just like a U.S. Large. The Right Zipper Closure typical of many European countries takes a little getting used to, but is not really a big deal (this is opposite of the U.S. we have Left Zipper closures). This shell is a versatile shell that could comforably be used for activities all 4 seasons. The Jacket is light, yet durable enough to be used for extreme winter activities. The shell could be worn alone for spring/summertime thunderstorms, and with Gore-Tex Pro Shell would provide the best protection money can buy. It could also be layered for winter activities. This jacket has two front alpine style pockets, one internal zip/waterbottle pocket, and pitzips. At $200-300 this jacket is a steal.

This jacket costs a lot of money, and it is too bad Haglofs can't come up with a functional zipper. The zipper is a waterproof design, similar to the ones found in dry suits. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get the zipper started, and forget even trying if you are wearing gloves.

Just received this product. Its construction/quality looks great. Seams are very well-done, zippers are high quality, and the hood seems to work and articulate very well. The velcro-like closures on the sleeve ends as well as the hood seem to very well designed and solid. I have owned and beaten upon an Arcteryx jacket for the past 10 years and decided to give the Haglof a try when the Arcteryx just started to stop keeping the water out after doing a little research. While Arcteryx products are amazingly well built and designed, since they have recently moved production to China (from previously Canada), I decided that I couldn't necessarily justify the high cost of non-domestically-produced gear. My only concern is that the Neutron jacket isn't listed on the Haglofs website. I'm hoping that that's simply due to the 2009 versions being listed there and this jacket perhaps being a 2008 version (since the materials-Gore-Tex Pro-is quite new). Admittedly, the Haglofs jacket seems a little more pedestrian than the highly technical jackets of Arcteryx, but the materials are the real deal and the cut seems to support the athletic styling rather than more casual cuts of North Face and others. I'll have to see if the Haglofs jacket holds strong for anything close to the decade that Arcteryx kelp me dry. If not, I'll go back to Arcteryx.

While I haven't used this jacket yet, I tried it on after getting in the mail from Sierra. I love the green color and the jacket is very light and everything looks wonderful. Now, I am typically a large size. I have an old Marmot Thunderlight jacket and that has plenty of room for a large. This "large" jacket feels more like a shell only for summer days as it lacks room for much layering in winter. There is no way you can layer up anything underneath this thing without it being "snug" if you want to go winter camping, skiing or snowboarding. I'm going to try the XL size and see if that is any better size wise. Maybe it's a european thing as this jacket is from Sweden. Any way you look at it though, if you want to use this in the winter, from my experience, order one size up. Additionally, for a men's jacket, the zipper zips like a womens - opposite side for the actual zipper. Seems odd, but that's not a biggie for me; just will take time to get used to. And yes, I made sure this was a men's jacket I ordered and received. Seems like a good jacket other than a sizing issue and the zipper oddity.
