I just received my backpack today and wanted to comment back to tammy's review.about the chest strap not being adjustable. It is actually adjustable and can slide up/down the entire length of the shoulder strap (padded portion -- approx 20"). Thought I'd write this as I almost decided against purchasing it due to the lack of adjustability, but took a chance. Quality looks great and can't wait to use it.

Bought this pack for snowshoeing but had to send it back as the chest strap was not adjustable, rendering it unusable. It might work for someone who is taller or has a longer torso. I am 5'0 and small framed so it hit me too low. The overall quality of the pack was excellent and it had the features I wanted but the lack of adjustability of the chest strap was a deal breaker.

  • Question “I am going to ski Taos in February. The hike to the peak from the highest lift is 30 to 45 min. I am looking for a pack to carry my ski's so that I do not have to carry them in my hands. How well will this pack do? I don't want to have problems on the trail. The only backpack that I currently use when I ski is a small Camelbak for water and snacks. How well will this pack work on the lifts, or will I have to remove it each time I catch a lift.”

    • Answer This pack should do the job well. It is designed with a diagonal ski carry system.
