Verified Buyer Reviewed by Marlene from Florida on Friday, January 29, 2016Really like these soft shell pants but had to send them back:( too snug in the hip area. No way to layer. So bummed cause they are super cute!!
Reviewed by Penny Tango from NW Oregon on Saturday, November 14, 2015Like the fit of these pants but I was looking for water resistance and these soaked through quickly, starting at the seam above the knee. I wore them in a light, steady rain with no wind and after two miles I was wet and after four miles water was running down my legs inside the pants.
If you're looking for lightweight hiking pants with a good fit these will work. Just don't expect DWR to apply to this product.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by skiergirl from Cleveland, Ohio on Wednesday, February 25, 2015its a tech pant perfect for cross-country and snow shoeing but...also fit like a dream and are super comfy and look good so...also wearing as normal pants on cold days :)
Reviewed by Taos Girl from New Mexico on Sunday, February 22, 2015I have been hiking 2 to 3 times per week this winter at 9000 to 11000 feet (but it's been relatively warm--mostly high 20s, 30s and 40s). I find these pants very comfortable, soft but tough. I am 5'3" about 145lbs--usually wear size 12 or 10. I ordered both the 42 and the 40. The 42 is perfect when I wear a base layer, the 40 when I don't. They are slightly stretchy. I find these warm enough to hike without a base layer when the temp is mid-30's or higher. The pants are long on me so I have to roll them up but with gaiters on it is not a problem. I find these have some wind insulation and are plenty breathable for the conditions I have been hiking in. Hands down, they are my favorite hiking pants ever. I'm hoping to be able to wear them into the spring.
Reviewed by mountain mama from Out there on Monday, January 19, 2015Darn, there are no more size 38s. I love these pants. Nice and stretchy, long enough to go over boots, great little pocket features, comfy, comfy, comfy. I put them on and want to go out for a hike! 38 fits very well, like a size 8 should, a little snug in the "seat" but they do "give". Flattering, great pants. Wish I'd bought two pair....
Answer This pant is the same weight as the Haglofs Fjell and just a bit lighter than the Haglofs Mid Flex.
